This Privacy Policy describes how Lucy ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our AI companion platform at lucyd2.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
All conversations are private and secure. Messages are encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored securely on our infrastructure. We do not read, sell, or share the content of your chats with any third party. Your messages exist solely to provide you with a personal experience.
We will never sell, license, or share your conversation data, personal information, or behavioral patterns with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. Your data belongs to you.
Lucy does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or any form of behavioral tracking. We do not fingerprint your browser, track your activity across sessions, or build advertising profiles. There are no third-party analytics services embedded in this app.
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. This includes your profile, conversation history, generated media, and any companion memories. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
When a companion remembers something about you, those memories are fully visible to you. You can view every memory a companion has stored about you and delete any individual memory you do not want them to remember. Visit the Memory Bank from any chat to manage this.
We only collect what is strictly necessary to provide the service: your email address for authentication, your subscription status, and conversation data to maintain continuity. No more, no less.
Lucy is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We enforce age verification during account creation. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and permanently delete all associated data including conversations, memories, and generated media. If you believe a minor is using our platform, please report it to our support email immediately.
Your conversation data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently destroyed within 30 days, including: profile information, all conversation history, companion memories about you, generated photos/voice/video, payment records (transaction IDs only — we never store card details), and push notification subscriptions. This deletion is irreversible. Backup copies in our database are purged on the same schedule.
Voice notes are generated on-demand using AI text-to-speech technology. Generated audio is stored in your conversation only if the voice note is successfully delivered to the chat. Voice audio is not stored permanently beyond the conversation context — if you delete a conversation, all associated voice files are deleted. We do not collect, record, analyze, or store any biometric data from users. We never record your microphone input beyond the duration of a real-time call session, and such audio is discarded immediately after processing. AI-generated images, videos, and voice files are created for your personal use within the platform and are not used to train any AI models.
AI-generated content produced through Lucy — including text, images, voice notes, and videos — is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models. Your conversations, generated media, and interaction patterns remain private and are used solely to provide and improve your personal experience on the platform. Third-party AI providers (Together.ai, Fish Audio, ElevenLabs, fal.ai) process requests in real time but do not retain your data for training purposes per our data processing agreements.
You may request deletion of all AI-generated content associated with your account at any time. This includes: conversation history, AI-generated photos, voice notes, video messages, companion memories, and personality profiles. Individual items can be deleted from within the app (e.g., clearing a conversation or removing specific memories from the Memory Bank). Full account deletion permanently destroys all associated data within 30 days. To request targeted content deletion without deleting your entire account, contact our support companion or email our support address.
To provide the service, your data is processed by the following third parties: Supabase (database hosting, EU/US), Together.ai (chat AI processing — message content sent for generation, not stored by them), Fish Audio (voice generation — text sent for synthesis, not stored), ElevenLabs (voice generation fallback — text sent, not stored), fal.ai (image generation — prompts sent, not stored), CCBill/Segpay (payment processing — card details handled exclusively by them), NOWPayments (cryptocurrency processing). We have data processing agreements with each provider. No third party has access to your full conversation history.
We implement the following security measures: server-side authentication on all API endpoints, Row Level Security (RLS) on all database tables ensuring users can only access their own data, rate limiting on media generation and authentication endpoints, webhook signature verification on all payment endpoints, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, and automated content moderation. While no system is perfectly secure, we are committed to protecting your data using industry-standard practices.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. If you are in California, you have rights under CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale (we do not sell data). To exercise any of these rights, use the account deletion feature in Settings or contact our support email. We will respond within 30 days.
